"The Hen House was lovely! It really was pretty, comfortable and finished to an incredibly high standard. The estate is beautiful and we happened to stay during a midsummer fair, which was fantastic. The hot tub was in dire need of a deep chemical clean. The tubes connected to the fire were leaking bits of dirt. Also the check out time being 10am is quite early when it is self catering and you’ll also need to pack a car. Overall I would highly reccomend a stay here. "

"Very tired old property. When they showed us the room it first reminded me of one of the servant quarters in a recent historic house tour. We booked a classic double. The room was damp, full of dusty furniture and the bed mattress springs were gone. There was a tiny window with a view to nothing. We lasted 10 mins and left. "Clean, small room. Flat pillows, thin walls-could hear the person next room snoring. Breakfast doesn’t start til 8 on weekends, so not useful for an early flight. It is close to the airport which is why I picked it"
