"This is a really lovely hotel. Nice bed and bedding and spotless room and bathroom. Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Proper service and a reminder of how hotels used to be be. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended."

"On arrival we were upgraded twice to a lovely ground floor room with patio doors to a lovely view. Bed was comfy, bar atmospheric and food good. We would definitely stay again"

"Stayed for one night en route to a North Devon holiday. The room was excellent, spacious, clean and well laid out. A very comfy bed meant a good night's sleep. Bathroom even had a bath. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a very good meal. Breakfast was also excellent with a great choice all freshly cooked. Plenty of easy parking and outdoor space. Definitely worth staying and would do so again."

"It was nice that their was a key safe for entry. Able to park outside the door although not guaranteed. Ideal location base for visiting various places. It was clean and tidy with comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything that would be needed. Would definitely stay here again."

"We received a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. The shower was amazing and after walking a big section of the SWCP it was very welcomed. Sadly we ran out of puff to enjoy the pool (indoor and outside). The ability to park and leave vehicles there was an added benefit. The bar menu offered great choices, and the breakfast was a pleasant treat. I would deffo recommend and be more than happy to return next time I am in the area."

"The hotel was excellent. It felt very upmarket but without an upmarket price. Room was small but absolutely fine for one person. Wonderful bathroom! Food was excellent. Will be going back next year."
