"The hotel is in an amazing old building in a really nice town. The staff are friendly, and the lobby and restaurant and modern and clean. That's where the positives end. The stairwell and rooms are more like a youth hostel, basic and in need of a serious upgrade. The beds are uncomfortable and the pillows are awful! Breakfast is very basic, and needs more attention as for most of the time trays were empty and people were waiting around for them to be topped up. The parking areas is small, so...
"The hotel was a good standard travel lodge kind of place, nothing too special but totally suitable for what I needed.
Only issue was the restaurant closed at 8pm and there was no iron in the room but other than that is was perfectly adequate for my needs.
Road noise was also an issue but given where the hotel is located i am not surprised.
Would I stay here again...... probably yes."
"The room was extraordinarily tiny, as was the bathroom. Beds were comfortable. We were on a ground floor. It was hot so we had the window open to let cool air in. Unfortunately at 4am and various other times people were outside smoking and talking loudly. It’s an ok place, but not one I would recommend."
"The location is good, steps away from restaurants, the Friday street market and shops and 15 min. walking to the train and bus station. The place is also quiet even with the Friday night crowd nearby.
The dark panels and deco inside the room look creepy. The staff can only be contacted via a tablet at the front desk. The key cards do not always work: GET TWO CARDS even if you travel alone."
