"The listing on Hotels.com (and a paper sign inside the room itself) advertise the hotel as having ‘free on site parking’. The property does not have parking. So I spent 4 days having to musical chairs my car around the car parks of Alnwick so as to not get a ticket. This is false advertising, and I wouldn’t have booked if the venue was honest about the parking situation. "

"Quiet accommodation for good rest after a sports event I spent two nights in The Tavern in Alnwick to participate in a marathon race. The accommodation is in the centre of the town, on top of a pub, but it was very quiet, even though it was a weekend. The staff was friendly and helpful. Despite arriving late on a Friday evening, and the kitchen was about to close, they still prepared something for dinner for me, which was much appreciated after my long journey. My room (plus a separate bathroom) was small but had everything I needed – including a fridge with water and juices, a kettle, instant coffee, tea and biscuits. The bed was comfy enough for one person with lots of pillows. "

"An absolute gem. Handy for everything Alnwick and the surrounding areas. Try the chip shop in Seahouses-Lewis’s an incredible fish finger butty and chips 👍🏻👍🏻Bamburgh castle stunning and the beach. And this cottage a super place to base yourself. Comfy sofas and beds and excellent shower 👏No problem parking right outside the gate on the by road which no one really uses.We will definitely be back when our schedule allows. ❤️"
