"Never received the check in details 24 hours before so couldn’t risk taking the family and I had to do a 5 hour round trip to go get them, we didn’t have any hot water for the first 24 hours. The mattress in the main bedroom was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on and after the first night slept in the lounge, also there isn’t a table so they provide 4/5 small tables to eat off but 1 of these had 2 missing legs and another’s legs were about to fall off. Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Low Wood Bay Resort is a fantastic hotel in an absolutely beautiful location, surrounded with great activity options and great options of its own. The hotel is very nicely finished with a historic Inn at its core surrounded by more expansive modern facilities. It houses 3 restaurant options from pub thru own restaurant to premium dining, with breakfast offered in the lovely W restaurant every day and dining options at the W pub (also with outside patio), and the premium Blue Smoke restaurant, opening with a great Afternoon Tea offering at 11.45 and finishing with great 'al a carte' up to closing time. Service at all was warm and friendly, if not always prompt or top-drawer. It has a spa, which is set up primarily for couples, adults with only the morning session open to families with kids under 16, which was a bit disappointing. The gem was the associated Low Wood Bay Watersports Centre and Marina directly across the road, with everything from stand-up paddle to yacht charters and including kayak, dingy and keelboat hire, all at reasonable prices. We highly recommend Low Wood Bay, and will stay there again ourselves for sure!"

"Great Hotel - we'd originally booked 10 years ago but had to cancel due to a complicated pregnancy. It was lovely to have finally made it! Location was beautiful and the staff were supportive, kind, and friendly Room was clean, lovely bathroom Breakfast was the slight downfall - it was plentiful, do not get me wrong - just the quality was not to the level that you would expect from the Daffodil Would we return - YES"

"Lovely old hotel in a great location with a Sean view out the front and tram stop virtually on the doorstep. We only stayed b+b but the food we had was really nice. A bit chaotic at breakfast time but it is a large hotel and they do warn you about peak times so you're you know what to expect in advance. The room was comfortable. Nice clean beds and bathroom but there were 2 items of rubbish on the floor (a sweet wrapper and a golden egg from the arcade) which were there for the duration of the stay. However, the staff were lovely, very polite and helpful if needed (we didn't need them but saw other guests that did and they were great with them). I think my only slight criticism would be that you were left waiting at the bar alot. They could see you standing there but carried on cleaning or filling fridges. Don't get me wrong, as someone who has worked in a few bars, I know these things need to be done but if you have people waiting, you either serve them or at least acknowledge them and let them know you will be with them ASAP which they didn't do. Oh and for information, there is parking at the hotel but it is £14 a day and you have to register on the machine at reception and fill in the paperwork too. Anyway, overall, I've left what I think is my honest review. It's a good hotel in a great location and yes, I would absolutely stay here again."
