"It was a short but pleasant stay. The staff and river view were notable, rooms were better than we expected and breakfast was fresh. We also loved the possibility to go down and swim in the river. "Pollyanna, was really helpful even I didn’t speak any Portuguese. Helped me to book a tour at last minute. When I got transferred from Sao Luis and arrived around 8:30 am, she checked me in without any extra charge. Breakfast was really good with wonderful views on top floor of hotel. "Matteus was an excellent concierge for all our tour and transport needs! He is one of two English-speaking persons in Santo Amaro. Surprisingly, most people did not speak Spanish either, so Matteus was especially important (and patient) at all hours for our needs. The hotel is very basic, as are all of the in-town options. The breakfast is very good, with all the options we needed. The location on the river is quiet and lovely, with swimming and kayak rental right from the property. "
