Awesome stay!
Had an original rental cancel the night before (homeowner removed house from Vacasa) and this one was a substitute they offered. What a surprise, because this house was awesome! The back porch is definitely a highlight with an awesome view.
Amazing property, it had everything we needed, kitchen was completely stocked with every kind of pots and pans and utensils. Bathrooms had plenty of towels and beds were very clean. All rooms were decorated beautifully and we li we all the extra blankets for us to use when we were on the deck watching tv. The downstairs was a favorite hang out . . We will stay here again and I would have to say it was the best place we have rented. We had 3 couples and a 2 year old, a1 year old and a 7 month staying there and we had plenty of room. We did not use the 4th bedroom because of the bunk beds and the grandkids being so young.

Best Cabin to Date!
This was an A-mazing cabin! All of the little touches were perfect. It had everything you need. The back deck/tV/fireplace with deck throws was our favorite! The kids (and adults) had a blast down stairs on the pool table, movie room (yes bean bags are comfy for adults too!) and loved Mario cart on the Wii (batteries in remotes need replaced). Some might say this is silly, but a perk to this place is the way it’s set up! Bears are definitely in the area as we had paw prints on car doors one day, but I loved how the decks are up separate and blocked off and you can actually RELAX on the deck or in the hot tub without having to be anxious what is around the corner! (I’ve stayed in places like that before and it’s hard to relax with every fluttering leaf). This place was great and we would love to come back!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing your Gem!
This was the perfect spot for our two familes - our kids are ages 8-12 and the downstairs area provided hours or entertainment while the adults were able to talk and hang out upstairs. The covered porch was a favorite of everyone. We hope to return in the future!

VRBO listed a home that featured a hot tub along with a lot of other amenities. Although there were many other desirable homes to choose from, my family decided on this one mainly due to the hot tub. When we arrived, one of the first things we noticed was that the hot tub was dry and not even plugged in. Contacted property management, VACASA, and was told that the property did not have a hot tub! Eventually was told that I would be refunded for the hot tub charge (a daily fee) and would be refunded one night’s stay. Still waiting for the refunds!

Porch is Heaven
The porch is absolutely a tiny little slice of heaven! I spent as much time as possible just enjoying the porch. It a perfect spot for just sitting and finding relaxation. All of the bedsrooms are spacious and cozy! The kitchen was fully stocked - even a crockpot. The drive there is an adventure but we loved everything about this house.

Relax & Enjoy
This house was absolutely amazing! It’s tucked back into the mountains so you feel as if you are the only ones out there. The house has everything you need and I loved the thoughtful touches like the labeling of the light switches. The real magic of this home is the outside porch. Coffee by the fire place in the morning, games and dinner with the family in the evening, the porch is where it’s at. You feel like you are floating in the mountains. We loved this home.
Didn't come with enough dishwasher detergent or trash bags, bathrooms didnt come with soap, cleaners didnt sweep under furniture. Kitchen did come with everything to cook so that was nice! Hot tub was nice heavily chlorinated though. Wifi was patchy but you were way up there so thats to be expected. Drive was killer turns and took forever it felt like, definitely no going back down once you get up.

Misleading stay
Overall my friends and I had a good time but some things we were not satisfied with. The following were issues we had: broken hot tub, broken locks on doors, falsely advertised gym, missing bed sheets, only a $50 refund for a broken hot tub, tv remotes missing , beds not being made, and a very poor cleaning job.
Gorgeous house tucked away in a very remote location w amazing views. Plenty of room for our family… main reason I rented house was for the back porch- but sadly nothing worked- fireplace wouldn’t light and propane for heater empty. Upstairs air didn’t work, several remotes and clocks had no batteries or they were dead, microwave did not heat, screens were missing in windows (later found hidden behind dresser). It indicates pet friendly but for little dogs yard was a struggle; so be aware- it’s also a distance from Boone (not being familiar with mountain driving- 12 miles to me is close- however it’s a 45-50 min drive). If house was inspected prior to rental; would’ve been an amazing stay.
Overall, this is an very good property, with two main provisos. The first obvious thing that any renter of this property will notice is the approx. 2 mile trip over winding gravel roads with a few switchbacks from the main road to the house. This adds 20 min. or so to or from the house, which has to be computed into any trip to dinner or activities, and it requires full attention to stay on the road (extreme hillsides in many areas). That situation is not disclosed in the listing. The agency attempted to share an alternate route that could not be followed. Second, the shower in the main floor master suite is tiny, maybe 3-feet square, nowhere near enough room to shower unless you are a contortionist. There is a neighboring hot tub that takes up too much space that should have been allocated to a much more comfortable shower. On the plus side, the back porch and lookout over the forest are fantastic, you will use this space a lot. Bedding was very ample and comfortable. Recliners in the main floor sectional do not operate well and appear to be malfunctioning. Kitchen is well fitted.
The cabin was very nice and clean but the WiFi did not work so couldn’t access any of the TVs. The hot tub was freezing. We called the support number. They had no one who could come out to help us with either issue. By morning we still hadn’t hear from anyone so decided to check out and move to a hotel. We rented this place because of the amenities listed. We feel we should be given a refund for the remaining two nights. We have rented several times from VRBO without any issues. This is the first time our rental was handled by Vacasa. Whole thing was a nightmare. We won’t be renting again. It was expensive and certainly didn’t live up to listing.

Good size home
This property was a good size home for the 10 people and two dogs we had. View is good and location is secluded and off beaten path.
The house was in an amazing location and what sells the house is outdoor living space. It was perfect and we spent 95% of our time there. However no remotes worked in the house, tv, ceiling fans, nothing. There was not a spatula or cooking spoon in the house. There was not no hand soap in the bathroom, no dishwasher detergent, no kitchen towels or dish clothes. The outside heater only Elgar enough gas for one night. It is an amazing house the owners needs to do some refreshing on amenities. Thanks!
