"Everything was good overall. Great location, gorgeous view, comfortable, nice new bathrooms, except Fire place was not working. Walls were thin, windows wouldn’t all close, floors creaked every step. Just didn’t seem well made structurally. Safe but old. "

"Close to everything Boone has to offer but feels like you’re in your own private oasis! It was an absolutely gorgeous property with tons of amenities, very well maintained, and overall we were so overjoyed with our experience. The only thing it was missing was a hot tub! We will be back. "

"Very tired, shabby and in need of upgrade ... which they are working on. I read on reviews 'nice views', which i couldn't see through the dirty windows. 'Restaurant on premises' was closed due to renos so we had to go down the windy mountain road into town for dinner and breakfast (The Town Tavern in Banner Elk was excellent). Carpet desperately needs changing. What they could clean they did ... clean comfy bed (but a Murphy bed? how do you clean behind that? You don't! ). New shower curtain ... thank you. Shower head is awf. Linens clean. My suggestion, wait until renos are done and then give it a try ... there's potential"

"Very clean inside. That's the best I can say. The deck had not been cleaned in a LONG time and had metal pieces from the broken gutter laying around. I had to sweep it myself it was so bad. The spider webs on the lamp by the front door could have been out of a vampire movie. The internet is a joke. Could not get through a Netflix without it freezing multiple times. We gave up. Same with trying to get wifi on our devices; not happening. The house is in a neighborhood that is not that quiet. One neighbor running his ATV around while another was target practicing with his rifle. Could see three houses from the deck. Back door leading to a small deck was broken. Front door leading to the deck would not close properly. Bathroom heater not working but had a small portable there. Even the lock on the front door would not work when we checked out (probably dead battery). I've stayed in homes all over the world and enjoyed 99% of them. Not this one. And unfortunately, all these things would take no time at all to remedy. Unforced errors. But! The inside was clean! "

"This property is gorgeous, clean and perfect for a relaxing stay. The creek and waterfalls outside are beautiful. We left the windows and doors open as much as possible so we could hear them while we were at the property. We can't wait to come back again in the future!For those traveling with pets, the white house and green house each have a dog that come outside without leashes. A yellow lab and a Weimaraner. The lab is very friendly but came up on the deck without warning several times. The Weimaraner is barky but was also fine. "

"We really enjoyed our stay kitchen was well stocked, lots of games for the kids when it rained. The only complaint from my group was some nails on the back deck. We bought a hammer and fixed. The creek by the house was great for the kids to play in, and at night was wonderful falling asleep to the sound of water. Would definitly do it again"

"I am very disappointed by the condition of the Loom Cabin where we spent two nights this week. Many items are in a state of disrepair and basic maintenance is sorely lacking. Here a few examples: - we arrived to an empty Modelo beer bottle sitting on the bottom step of the outside stairs. - speaking of the outside stairs, the wood is completely rotted in some places with one or two steps completely missing. As a faint hearted attempt at safety, there was a cord tied across the entrance to the stairs but nothing blocking a curious child from trying to climb the stairs from the front porch. - As you step into the front porch, the first plank is also partially rotted and/ cracked and will probably fail soon. Hopefully no one is hurt. Inside, the cabin is quaint and comfortable but we also found some items in disrepair: my bedside lamp was broken and needed a bulb, if you need to connect a charger or CPAP you have to get on all fours and search under the bed for a power strip. Actually 2 power strips connected serially to each other and then to an outlet behind the bed. Who knows if this is even up to code. Downstairs, there's some thermostat thingy hanging off the wall with wiring exposed. Having a small kitchen area with a sink, Keurig, and toaster oven was convenient. Of course it would have been nice to find more than just one fork, two spoons, one butter knife and one kitchen knife there. Given the cost of the stay, we were not impressed to say the least."
