"Quite near to the centre, very clean room, #9 me & daughter stayed in, room with it's own courtyard, although I didn't use the courtyard much, it's a very nice touch to the property.
Great stay all in all."

"There was nothing to dislike, but everything to like. The room was clean and very comfortable, the owners went out of their way to make sure everything was satisfactory. Check in was easy and right from the start we felt relaxed and "at home"."

"Don't stay here, pay a bit more and go somewhere that isn't a dump and doubles it's prices in the school holidays. A £60 room (I learned this after our stay) cost us £120. The room really wasn't good at all. A window cracked from top to bottom, a toilet roll dispenser hanging off the wall barely held in place by the end of a screw, an inspection hole next to the toilet with a cover that kept falling off, curtains that were so long they filled the floor space between the window and the bed and caused me to trip on them multiple times, there was small brown splashes of something on the wall above the toilet, the shower was barely powerful enough to have a shower under; it was like being drippen on...and there's more.
Suffice to say, for £50 I would have thought 'fair enough, you get what you pay for' but for the price we paid, do not bother.
I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all. Only saving grace: the lady at the front desk was very nice and understanding."
"Easy check in with friendly staff, rooms were beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Couldn't fault out stay and we'll certainly be back."
"Room was clean but small & basic. Bed and pillows were comfortable. There were no chairs to sit in the room
(although they did provide one after asking).
There was no fridge or locker and it was hottest part of the week in Bangor.
Bathroom was basic and light above sink was not working. No bins in toilet either.
Cleaned room was far from satisfactory as only fresh towels were given, bed wasn't made and toilet not cleaned properly.
They provide breakfast at a charge which is £11.95 each even if you have vegetarian or only granola cereal with some fruits / yogurt!
Place is run by 1-2 staff only including kitchen , reception, breakfast restaurant.
Evening food was very good and very well presented and portioned as well as discounts for residents."
"First room we had 301 was. so small and the bathroom well don't go there we managed to change to 304 bigger all round but still needed to be updated The meals were so bad that we had. to eat out all in all a terrible 5 days at great expense for the 6 of us oh and 1pair through I'll health were unable to come and yes we got no refund(472.00 pounds) all in all rubbish"
"Just back from a 2 night stay at The Royal Victoria Hotel and after having read some very mixed reviews, I didn't really know what to expect, but the place was absolutely fine. Location was literally just across the road from the start if the Llanberis path for Snowdon or the railway if yiu wanted to get the train up.
We found the staff, room and breakfast all to be ideal. Our only little downside was the shower tray filled up with water but we let them know when we checked out.
I had booked the coach house, but upon arrival found we'd actually been put in the hotel, so was even better.
There were tea/coffee making facilities in the room which you could get more of at the reception, an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, fan and a sofa alongside a superking size bed (2 singles pushed together).
I would stay there again if I ever went to that area and its the perfect location for sightseeing and climbing Snowdon."
"Hotel name is not visible from the street. Parking on site was appreciated. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was 'open' but the cook was not there. After a while they reached her by phone and she would be there in 15 minutes, and was told to take our orders and I paid for two 'specials'. After arrival, the cook/owner(?) came out and chatted with several locals and then brought her dog out to visit with a guests dog. Later she came out with a hairnet on making me optimistic. We had an overnight flight and a long day to this point. One couple came out of the kitchen with full meals. We watched them eat and take home the leftovers. Keep in mind no one had ordered food before us. Next, another couple were served, and ate their food. Clearly they noticed we had been waiting longer. After a while my food came out. 10 or 15 minutes later, my friend was told the cook read the order wrong and was now going to remake her food. By now I was finished, the bartender offered my friend a glass of beer, same as we had on arrival. By then she was past it, we were tired, hungry and angry. Eventually she got her food, and ate alone. Our meals were not worth waiting ..and waiting for. We were there for hours. The cook coming out and apologizing would have been a nice gesture. The next night we went elsewhere for food."
