Carriage Inn Hondo Suite · Most Room, Downtown

The Hondo Suite is upstairs at the Carriage Inn, just across the alley from the 11th Street Cowboy Bar and a short walk to Main Street, the shops and the restaurants. The Medina River is close by for tubing.



It is an old house with its character kept and its comforts updated: high ceilings, cowboy-era antiques, good air conditioning, Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The suite has three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a twin, a large full kitchen with an oven and stove, a fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker, and a bathroom with an antique cast-iron soaking tub that guests keep mentioning. Linens, a hair dryer and an ironing board are provided.



The backyard is shared with the inn's other guests, with a charcoal barbecue pit, a large outdoor fireplace, a fire pit, string lights and plenty of tables and chairs. Out front, the shaded porch has Adirondack chairs, a porch swing and a view of the old Wild West carriage the inn is named for. Covered parking for the inn rooms is first come, first served, with street parking nearby. Deer often wander through the neighborhood in the evening.

When guests ask which Carriage suite has the most room, we tell them Hondo. It is a very large space with big beds and a nice, large kitchen, so a small family or two couples can settle in properly.

The Carriage Inn sits directly behind the 11th Street Cowboy Bar, so live music can carry late into the night.

Your suite is entirely private; only the backyard and fire pit are shared with other inn guests.

A coin-operated washer and dryer are in the laundry room out back.

The primary renter must be 18 or older.

One small, well-behaved dog is welcome; any pet fee is shown when you book.

The Carriage Inn has five suites and a separate cottage, so a bigger group can book more than one, or the whole inn for up to 25.

Check-in is 3 PM and check-out is 11 AM.
