"Enjoyable stay.
Lovely town, everything within walking distance. Private car parking space was good, although a little tight.
House was clean and owners to attention to detail was apparent to us. Everything well maintained and tidy. Clean bedding, towels etc.
Would return to this house if in Seahouses again."

"Very clean and had most things we needed. Bed was really comfy and the view was beautiful. Only slight issue was that the underfloor heating was quite noisy, especially at night but it didn’t really affect our stay, just took a while to get used to."

"My wife and I spent a very pleasant week at Cygnet Cottage, using it as a base to explore the Northumberland Coast and local area.This particular accommodation is ideal for a couple. The living area is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen equipment all worked fine and there was an adequate supply of crockery, cutlery, and tools. The bathroom was small but perfectly usable with a decent, electric, shower. Upstairs was the bedroom with good storage facilities and a comfortable double bed...

"Lovely cottage, super clean and beautifully renovated. We really appreciated the crisps and dog treats :) Parking right outside was handy. Beautiful log burner for a cosy night. Beds were super comfy. My daughter loved the smart-tech in the bathroom showing how much her shower cost. A bit tricky with our 4-legged friends. Stairs too steep for our small dogs, but we barricaded the bottom with our suitcases ok. We were expecting a Deck/Patio as listed but its an open area down some stone steps,...

"The staff were very obliging and helpful, always smiling and approchable. Pleasant lovely to my two bichons always took time to fuss them. A large green to walk my dogs. The premises were clean and tidy. Parking was excellent 👌. Breakfast was lovely and tasty, and plenty of it, a good selection. First time I've used Purdy Lodge, but will certainly use it again. Very reasonably priced also. Also looked out onto green fields. The only thing I could find was the fact that there were no Subtitles on TV. Difficult as I am deaf. But a throughly enjoyable stay. "Beautifully renovated and clean room in a small building next door to the pub. We both found the mattress on our bed to be a bit too firm though. It made a lovely base for a couple of days exploring the area and the nearby beach (15 minute walk) is stunning. For a longer stay the room may possibly be a bit small but for two nights it was ideal. Good breakfast and the meals in the pub were very good without being overly expensive. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking at the pub is very limited with the on-street parking being resident permit parking so you may have to use the free public car park a few hundred metres away."

"Ideal location-Parking was a bit of a problem when we arrived mid-afternoon but eventually found a spot near the village green. The room was comfortable -although I wouldn't exactly call it a 'seaview' more of a sea glimpse. The breakfast was fabulous, plenty to choose from and served up by Mark-the lovely, friendly host."

My only critique would be the dinner menu didn't have many vegetarian options (one starter, one main and one salad) so we ended up having to get a takeaway instead of dining I. The restaurant."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Our room (127) was spacious and well equipped, in a quieter position looking over the car park away from but conveniently located for the main road. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent too. Would definitely recommend and stay here again 👍"
