Hawthorn Lodge

Hawthorn Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"Our stay here was everything we hoped for and more. The room was immaculate from the moment we walked in, with spotless floors, fresh linens, and thoughtful little touches that made it feel like home. The staff went above and beyond at every turn, greeting us by name and happily pointing us toward the best local trails and hidden spots. Breakfast was a genuine highlight, with a generous spread of fresh, hot options that set us up perfectly for a full day of exploring. The location couldn’t be better for anyone visiting the national park, just a short and scenic drive from the entrance. We loved coming back each evening to such a comfortable, welcoming space after long days outdoors. We’ll absolutely be staying here again on our next trip and recommend it wholeheartedly to fellow travelers."

Cottage 206 - Ballyconneely - sleeps 18 guests in 8 bedrooms

10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic stay in Ballyconneely with a group of 9 adults and 7 children ages 3–12. The house was perfect for a large group, with spacious living areas and a private bathroom for every bedroom. We especially loved how the upstairs bedrooms were separated from the main living spaces, allowing the younger children to go to bed early while the adults relaxed downstairs. The kitchen was very well stocked and made it easy to prepare meals together. The location was excellent, with beautiful nearby beaches that were a hit with both the kids and the birdwatchers in our group. Clifden was just a short drive away for shopping and dining, and the house made a great base for exploring Kylemore Abbey, Ballynahinch Castle, Inishbofin Island, and more. The views from the house were stunning, and we were amazed by how scenic the area was. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend this property for large families or groups visiting Connemara."
