"Despite the hotel’s beautiful location, my stay was extremely disappointing. I was devastated to be given possibly the worst room in the hotel. A ‘superior double’ on level 2 (number 212). It faces the side street, so close to the pavement that I could hear every passer by throughout the night. At 5.45am you have the noise from the street cleaners, local shops, deliveries etc making it impossible to sleep! On top of that, the live entertainment from the bar was so loud in my room until late that I had to put on noise cancelling headphones to get some peace. One curtain could not be fully closed because there was no rail?! This felt both cheap and careless - allowing street lights to shine into the room all night. The bathroom offered no better privacy or comfort, so I ended up showering with the lights off. The wardrobe randomly had no handles?! so I really struggled to open it… Dinner was ok, I particularly enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and they have a nice selection of wines. After reading previous reviews I was disappointed to find the reception staff unfriendly when I was leaving, which only reinforced the poor impression left by the stay. Although maybe if I had had better sleep I wouldn’t have minded so much. It is such a shame, because I was genuinely excited about this stay and although the setting is lovely, after this experience and the worst nights sleep I’ve had in a long time, I would not return."

"Fantastic stay here for 3 nights. Great location in como, amazing breakfast with prosecco even included. Staff very helpful. Free room upgrade too which was a nice bonus. Highly recommend a stay at the Palace hotel. "

"1,방이 크지 않다는 걸 이해하고 있었지만 짐을 풀기 힘들정도로 작아요 Suitcase 하나 정도면 가능할수 있어요 2, 주차장이 작아서 호텔과 떨어진 곳에 세우고 와야해요 3, 아침 식사 평이 특별히 좋은걸로 보았는데 평범해요 특별하진 않아요 4, 호텔 식당에서 저녁식사를 했는데 식사는 괜찮은 편이였어요 큰 레스토랑이 꽉 찬걸로 보아 동네 맛집인듯~ 4성급이고 리뷰가 좋아서 기대했는데 제 느낌에 그정도는 아닌거같네요 "

"Unbeatable views but that's about it. No elevator. Had to lug all of our luggage upstairs ourselves. No help from the staff. Rooms are incredibly outdated and dilapidated. The TV is smaller than my laptop. The shower is the size of a shower on a cruise ship. The restaurant on property is just ok. They try too hard to serve fancy food instead of sticking to a traditional, simple Italian menu. If it wasn't for the incredible view it would have been a total bust."
