Highly recommended quiet lake house

Great stay at Mani's house on the lake. Safe quiet neighborhood, and peaceful relaxing outdoor space for lounging by the lake and watching the ducks. Wi-fi was spotty at times, and as others have noted, the pool cues could use new tips (or, just tips, period), but this place had more than most, and I felt there was great value for the rental rate. Would def stay again if in the area.

Nice place to stay

Overall the house was great. The outdoor area seemed to be unused for a while. But would recommend. Really enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning sitting at the lake.

Visiting friends

We came back to Bako for the weekend to visit friends from when we lived here. The house was a perfect place for them to come by and say hi. Being on the water was terrific. The pool table and outside water area were so fun!

Great location and home and host, some aspects aging

We enjoyed our stay. Some surfaces didn't seem super clean when we arrived and the outside dumpsters were full with some trash around them on the ground. The host was very responsive and took care of the trash. We enjoyed using the pool table and ping pong table.

Clean, quiet lakehouse getaway with all the amenities!

Had a fun filled weekend at a local airsoft field with my team, and enjoyed our time off the field at this clean, spacious, amenity packed lakehouse. Lots of room for my party of 6 to relax on the many recliners, outside by the lake, or play some table tennis or game time on the billiards table.. Large flat screen TVs in each of the 2 living areas as well as one in the master suite with 2 queen beds, jacuzzi tub and lake view!! Host was very attentive and friendly, we will definitely be back!!

Waterfront property

Came to Bakersfield for a family party. The house was awesome!!! We will rent again. We stay in houses as we like to gather and cook. The kitchen was minimally stocked. One small fry pan and small stock pot was a challenge but we made it work. I now build a “vacation tub” that I put what I need. We ran to store for showering soap and kurig pods but overall great stay!

Beautiful views and very clean house that smelled GREAT!!!

Very easy check in! Upon entering the house my whole family commented on how good it smelled and how clean the home was! The couches were extremely comfortable and the pool table and ping pong table were fun entertainment for the entire family! We enjoyed our coffee and wine overlooking the lake!!! The only suggestion i have is that the kitchen could use some more items. Big bowls, measuring cups, platters etc... Overall we all thought this property was wonderful!

Beautiful Oasis in Bakersfield

My friends and I stayed at the lake house for a couple of nights. The property was modernized, kept very clean, comfortable for a larger group (7 adults), and had an easy check-in/out process. Being by the lake was a great addition. We all spent the evenings taking in the beautiful scenery. The only minus, I would say, was that the hot tub was not prepared for use... would've been the cherry on top. I would inquire in advance of your stay if you wish to use it. Had a great time here and would definitely stay again in the future!

Such Potential

The property looked perfect for our family weekend. Great location. The property would benefit from more TLC, elbow grease, a carpet clean or replacement, a new bed in back bedroom, household garbage removal and better bedding. Guests would enjoy more basic day to day living items like kitchen and hand towels, toaster and such. Would have enjoyed sitting outside by the water with comfortable furniture. Disappointingly, the inside games were broken. I would have liked better check in and out instructions. Wouldn't be hard to make this property a wonderful stay.

BACO Home

One of the best areas to stay in Bakersfield however the home was nat as clean as pictured. There was only 3 wash cloths and limited bath towels and no hand towels. We stayed 6 nights and should have had enough towels for that time. There is a washer and dryer to help with this shortage. We felt it was overpriced for the amenities offered. Manni however is one of the nicest people you will ever meet , I would recommend this rental to anyone interested.
