"San Carlos is a nice, clean, quiet hotel.
Security is good. Facilites are clean. Staff is helpful.
If you are looking for privacy and quietness. This is your hotel if you like to stay in a place where it feels like a big house
But it is very dated. It is not Barcelo o Wyndham.
The gym is not really a gym. Need an upgrade. I feel the advertising for the hotel was not accurate.
Food is ok. Not memorable.
The bar is lacking in selection and variety.
Location is great, close to everything but be prepared for Guatemalan traffic which is not a joke.
All that say, due to the privacy, quietness and location I would stay again but the gym needs to be better."
