"Lovely , modern hotel in a great location just on the edge of old town. It is a a bit of a walk to the castle if you have mobility issues but not an issue for us, as we like hiking/walking and the multi-lingual staff will assist with calling a taxi if needed. We had a junior suite on the top floor that has a balcony with a city view and it was perfect for 2 adults & a teen. Major plus was functional air conditioning in October!!! We stayed at other hotels in Germany & France that advertised air conditioning but then would not allow us to turn it on from our room during certain seasons. I highly recommend adding the breakfast on when booking - it was a great price for what you got. The breakfast was served in the rooftop bar area so it had a great view and had extensive hot/cold options (sausage, eggs, bacon, pastries, cereal, veggies, potato salad , etc). My only suggestion to management would be to add a second coffee machine - they only had one and it was having problems so there was a very long wait on some of the days."

"Really convenient location about 5 minutes from Esslingen train station, with 2 supermarkets right around the corner. Nice to have cooking facilities, albeit small. Comfortable bed, strong shower, but sometimes a bad smell coming from the drain. Doors close very loudly, so maybe bring earplugs. The door to the common hallway slams loudly, so request a room at the far end of the corridor. Note: you need a smartphone for this place, as you receive your door code by email at 3 pm to check in, and if you don’t have a wifi signal it can be tricky. I logged on to the public wifi in the shopping mall across the street. You also check out with your phone."

"Hotel very well maintained and well located. Did not use Panorama Restaurant as it was closed. Other restaurant was fine but buffet a bit limited. Room did not have very well functioning central air system. Had to open room windows to get air, this cut off the air conditioning system. Room was also not equipped with coffee/tea maker which we expected from a hotel of this standard. Having said that the Room was very comfortable and spacious."
