The Space:

The Loft On Congress is a 3,000 sq. ft. luxury loft and event space in the heart of Austin's business and entertainment district. Located on historic Congress Avenue with a stunning view of the Texas State Capitol and the Paramount Theatre, this urban loft is the ideal location for executive stays or attending any of Austin's year-round events including Austin City Limits, the Austin Film Festival, SXSW, Formula One and UT football. Whether you're staying for a festival, off-site business retreat, or a weekend get-away, we've provided every comfort of home... plus a few special extras. Winner of the 2004 AIA Award for Excellence in Design, 706 Congress Ave. was meticulously restored to its original facade with a large balcony directly across from the Paramount Theater, overlooking Congress Avenue all the way to the Capitol. The owners, long-time Austinites and former gallery owners, designed a modern interior including reclaimed wood floors throughout, open staircases, poured concrete counter-tops, a unique split-level layout, and high-end furnishings and artwork. OnCongress is purpose-built as a luxury rental property with amenities such as a full chef's kitchen, living room and lounge, full-size washer/ dryer, and free WiFi. The downstairs game room includes a large screen TV, custom-built steel pool table and shuffle board table.



Please note this is an open loft space without traditional walled bedrooms.

Parking: one spot available for guest use. Additional metered street parking and parking garage across the street.



Per the city of Austin short term rental ordinance the following rules apply to every vacation rental within city limits, with no exceptions: 1) Outdoor spaces are not available for use from 10 PM to 7 AM

No parties, loud music, or rowdy groups—this is not the house for that. Violations of house rules will result in immediate eviction and hefty fines. Please book responsibly and respectfully.

HOUSE RULE: The primary booking guest must be at least 25 years old and must be present for the duration of the stay.



HOUSE LIMITATIONS: While we love to celebrate special occasions, the property does not operate as a venue. Reservations are for accommodations only. No bachelor parties. No smoking anywhere on the premises.



Guest will have access to the entire home excluding the garage



The loft lies on Congress Avenue in the heart of downtown Austin. It’s across from historic Paramount Theatre and the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel just blocks from eateries, bars, the Capital Building, Austin Convention Center, and more.
