"Great food and customer service"

"The hotel advertised breakfast on Expedia. However, when I asked what time breakfast was served, the maintenance/front desk staff told me they have not offered breakfast “in a while.” Check-in was also extremely unorganized. When I arrived, I waited approximately 30–45 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Once the clerk arrived, they had to call the property owner at home to confirm my reservation. I specifically requested a non-smoking king room, but I was initially assigned a smoking room with two queen beds. The room was dirty, and the bedding was old, worn, and torn. The following day, I was moved to a king room, but unfortunately that room also had cleanliness issues—there were visible spider webs hanging from the ceiling, and the bedding was again dirty, with cigarette burns similar to the first room. I was also told the owners are waiting until the Masters to purchase new bedding and make updates. While I understand some properties are independently owned, I have stayed at other Sonesta locations and this experience was far below what I expect from the Sonesta brand. Independently owned or not, Sonesta should not allow a motel/hotel to operate under its brand without thorough vetting and ongoing quality standards."

"This place makes you feel like you’re in your own home away from home. The Owner is very respectful and everything was truly amazing. If I ever need to stay up in Augusta again I will be booking this place again. Thank you for the lovely stay!"

"I was disappointed that the property did not include thoughtful touches such as tissues, sugar, creamer, or throw blankets, We had also asked for an instruction or welcome book, The furniture throughout the home was quite uncomfortable, which made it difficult to relax. In addition, the listing did not clearly disclose that there is a second rental unit located approximately 40 feet from the back entrance of the main house.The television setup also requires guests to use their personal streaming logins, with only limited apps available."

"First, we are hosts ourselves, so maybe we look at rentals a little bit differently. In our opinion the location is a bit sketchy, the house itself is an older home that has been renovated and in very good shape. We were a family of 9 getting together for a birthday and Christmas weekend. We decided to cook dinner at home and when we went to set the table there were only 4 forks yet the house sleeps 12. I messaged the owner about that and eventually after a few hours was asked to send a picture which I did. We never heard back about it. Just automated responses asking how our stay was going and to reach out if we had any problems. I again mentioned the forks but never heard back about it. Also there were no kitchen towels so we had to use the only hand towel in one of the bathrooms. The problem is that the rental is run by a company rather than an owner so all communication is automated responses. If you don’t care about actually communicating with a human, the neighborhood, how many forks are available and having to eat in shifts, and the fact that there are only a few available towels then this is the place for you. "

"Beautiful cottage well maintained and decorated. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Host surprised us by decorating for Christmas! It really made the trip to spend Christmas with our adult children perfect. "
