The Space:
Originally built in the 1920s, this classic Waiheke bach is filled with charm: timber floors, bright natural light, and views across Onetangi’s sweeping bay. The open-plan living and kitchen area keeps life simple, with French doors opening to outdoor dining and the garden.
The bedroom wing sits in the main house, with the bathroom accessed externally from the back deck in true bach style.
Sunshine Cottage sits at the quieter eastern end of the beach, a super easy place for families, swimmers, and anyone who loves long barefoot days by the water.

Bedroom 1: Double bed
Bedroom 2: Single over double bunk
Minimum Stays:
7 nights mid-December to end January
3 nights on holiday weekends
2 nights at all other times
Pets considered on request only and must be approved in writing.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the main house, outdoor areas, and garden. The bathroom is accessed via the exterior deck.

Getting Around:
Buses run from Onetangi, stopping close to all major wineries including The Heke, then continue through Ostend into Oneroa Village and on to the Matiatia passenger ferry.
Taxis are available but can be expensive at peak times. There is easy parking at the property if you are bringing a vehicle.
Other Things to Note:
The home runs on rainwater tanks, so mindful water use is appreciated.
