Summary:
Tucked into the hillside above Onetangi, Seahorse Cottage is a classic Waiheke bach with beautiful sea views, generous indoor–outdoor spaces, and a fully fenced garden ideal for families and pets. Simple, relaxed, and close to the beach, it’s a comfortable base for easy days exploring the island.
The Space:
Seahorse Cottage is spread across two levels, keeping the living spaces connected to the outdoors and the bedrooms tucked privately upstairs.
The main living area opens to wide decking at the front of the cottage, with a covered outdoor dining area and views stretching toward Onetangi. Inside, the lounge is bright and welcoming, with classic bach styling, plenty of seating, and large windows bringing in morning light. A second indoor dining area sits nearby, keeping mealtimes easy whether you’re eating inside or outdoors.
The kitchen is full-size and practical, with a traditional Waiheke feel and everything needed for simple meals at home.
Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a king bed and the second with two singles, making the layout ideal for families or two couples. The main bathroom is located on the entry level and includes a tiled shower and vanity. A separate laundry area adds convenience for longer stays.
Outside, the cottage has a fully fenced lawn, perfect for kids or pets to play safely, along with several deck areas for morning coffee or relaxed afternoons in the sun. Elevated views over the treetops and down toward the bay give the cottage a private, peaceful feel.
