"Everything was as listed….the log burner was an added feature which we were happy to use on rainy days. The location was really goid… Colchester close and historically very interesting. North of the city was Constable country… nice walks and interesting info on the artists. South we enjoyed Tiptree museum, and the Salt marshes for walking and photography. Ovreall it was everything we wished for “"

"Wonderfully rustic property in a brilliant location. Hosts were gracious and welcoming and made sure we were settled. Local White Horse pub (minutes away, walkable if you're feeling energetic) is a must for their housemade pizza and in-house brewery. Great weekend getaway ... highly recommended."

"The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. We had everything we needed. Location is peaceful and idyllic on the lake and is really easy to get to. We felt safe and secure behind the gates. "Lovely cottage, very clean, warm & cosy. Nice welcome pack on arrival, bread, butter, tea, coffee, OJ, milk, etc. Nice size secure garden for my two dogs. A little confusing to find at first, postcode stops you further down the road but the instructions from owner how to carry on are quite clear.Only downside for me was it being on a fairly busy country road, not mentioned in the listing, so it wasn't possible to take my dogs for just a local walk in the area and nearest dog walking area was 3...

"A lovely, comfortable, well equipped, cottage. A perfect location, with plenty to do. Lots of useful info and recommendations from Jo, the owner. Lovely walks with the dog...a co-op just seconds away in case you forgot something. We had a gorgeous Sunday roast at the Yachtsmans Arms...Maggie, my hungry springer, was welcomed too and even got her own lunch! I totally recommend a trip here..."

"Beautiful character property, I was taking my elderly parents to visit friends and relatives in the area, I also had my 12 year old son and our young dog with us and it was a perfect space for all. Very clean and tidy, lovely bed linens and wonderful outside space for the dog. "
