Le Cimetiere des Chiens is an animal cemetery that opened in 1899. This is the grave for Barry the Saint Bernard, a WWI trench dog. Here is the translated inscription "He saved the lives of 40 people. He was killed by the 41st." Barry dragged 40 wounded people away from a battlefield and as soon as he got the kid on his back (the 41st) to safety he died of exhaustion.
