"We arrived late from Safari but it was a great clean wit quiet room for our quick overnight stay before flying out. Only problem was the roads getting there are very bad and despite being ‘close’ to airport, the taxi had to drive right around to get there, so would have been easier to book on the main road anyway."

"We absolutely loved Savannah House! The breakfast included was SO GOOD! It had fresh fruit, grilled veggies, pancakes, french toast, banana chip thingies, and delicious watermelon/carrot juice. I'm gluten-free so they made me an omelette, which was amazing! The room was clean with cool decor, the location was close to Club D, which gives provides amazing meals for a cheap price, it also has an ATM, and a night club (which we didn't get to but we wanted to!). There are also shops to buy snacks...

Ilboru Safari Lodge - The Platinum Route Company Limited

Ilboru Safari Lodge - The Platinum Route Company Limited

10/10 Excellent
"A Charming Lodge with Wonderful Hospitality and a Personal Touch! I spent several days at Ilboru Safari Lodge at the beginning of my Tanzanian adventure, and it was a lovely introduction to the country. The lodge has a cozy, quaint atmosphere, with beautiful gardens and a peaceful pool area. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoons relaxing by the pool, reading, writing and enjoying a glass of wine. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long journey and ease into the rhythm of Tanzania. One of the things I particularly enjoyed was the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to meet interesting people. Evenings spent watching the sunset, sharing conversations over dinner and chatting around the fire were some of my favourite moments. A special mention to Alex, who took the time to sit and chat with me about Tanzania, its people and my interest in exploring beyond the usual tourist experiences. He was incredibly generous with his local knowledge and helped connect me with opportunities to learn more about the local community. Those conversations and connections added a whole other dimension to my time in Arusha. Ilboru isn't about flashy luxury. Its charm lies in its character, peaceful surroundings and genuine hospitality. It was a wonderful home base for the first part of my adventure. Asante sana to Alex and the Ilboru team for making my introduction to Tanzania so memorable!"
