La Coveta Fuma and El Campello are situated on the Spanish coast between Benidorm and Alicante. These picturesque residential villages on the Costa Blanca, with extremely varied architecture in a landscape formed by hills, provide a panoramic view over sea and sandy beaches. This part of the Costa Blanca is also known as the 'Florida' of Europe because of its subtropical climate. So you can find Europe’s best climate two to four hours’ flying time from any European capital. And of course, all sports facilities, including 18-hole golf courses, are in El Campello and the immediate neighbourhood.
El Campello is a great attraction and interest to all its visitors for its beauty and enchantment as a quiet and tranquil sleepy fishing village. With 250 days of sun and an average summer temperature of 28ºC, in addtion to 23km of coast, ranging from ex-tensive sandy beaches to coves and private enclaves, Campello is an experience for all to enjoy. THE CANALOBRE CAVES in Busot have many stalactites and stalagmites as if they were huge candelabra. These caves are among the best European potholing places. There is a huge hall for concerts and a beautiful panoramic view.
Alicante: Music lovers can attend a concert next to the sea in the afternoons, on the Paseo de la Explanada. In summertime, the concerts are given on Sunday mornings. Don't miss the magic and charm of Les Fogueres de Sant Joan. On the night of 24 June, the flames from blazing bonfires illuminate the Alicante sky. Try any of the delicious varieties of rice dishes, combined with shellfish, fish or meat. To complete your meal , taste the local wines, and don't forget the famous ice creams, 'turrones of JiJona' and dates. For abstract art, pay a visit to the Eusebio Sempere Museum in the Casa de la Asegurada, where you´ll find an art collection donated to the city by this local sculptor and painter. Get a tan practically any time of the year on the fine sandy beaches of Postiguet, la Albufereta or San Juan . If you prefer rocky coves and seclusion, try the Cabo de las Huertas. You shouldn't miss the Island of Tabarca . Trips can be made from Alicante city throughout the year.
Golf: GOLF BONALBA Opened in 1995 Bonalba is the oldest and most settled 18 hole golf course in Costa Blanca. The course designed by Ramon Espinosa is a diverse entity of trees, water obstacles, bunkers and large greens, making it an enjoyable experience for pros and amateurs alike. The 6,367 metre, 18 hole par 72 Bonalba golf course is situated in the foot hills of the Sierra de Bonalba, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and beaches of San Juan. It is situated between large lakes on gentle slopes and has its own golf Academy with qualified , professional instructors. Bonalba is located approximately 10 minutes from Coveta Fuma. The best route to the course is by taking the highway (A7) that goes from Alicante to Valencia and then heading towards Alcoi (Exit 67) to the left. The course is only a few minutes off the highway, with signs guiding the way. GOLF ALICANTE The legendry Spanish player Severiano Ballesteros designed Alicante city golf course. The course offers a good challenge for pros and amateurs alike. Along the course there are seven water hazards, so getting used to playing between the obstacles is important. The 6,270 metre Alicante golf course of par 72 requires a different strategic approach to every hole and obliges players to use all clubs. The course stands out for its long tees, wide fairways, beautiful park areas and its splendid lakes. Alicante Golf is about 15 mins away.
