"Well I stayed here with my mam and 2 children, the location was so beautiful, views spectacular and this little lodge is so quaint. However we did int see any staff around really, the cafe wasn’t open, the carpet wasn’t the cleanest with tea stains and dusty, the bedding was immaculate and room perfect size for a family. No notice to state as to where you could go for the light breakfast provided, it wasn’t until the second morning we were aware of the small kitchen area. Will I go back absolutely due to it been dog friendly and the location just a tip a welcome letter would be helpful"

"A Pleasant and Welcoming Stay The George Hotel in Montrose has a lovely, homely atmosphere, although the rooms are a little dated and could benefit from some modernisation. Finding my room involved navigating a maze of stairs, corridors and doors, but once I arrived, I was pleased to find a clean, comfortable and well-presented room, complete with tea and coffee-making facilities. The room was initially very cold, but after switching on the heating, it quickly warmed up to a comfortable temperature. Although I didn't dine at the hotel myself, I heard positive comments about the food from other guests. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, which added to the overall experience. Another welcome bonus is the free off-road parking, which is a great convenience and certainly adds to the hotel's appeal. Despite the slightly dated decor, the hotel offers a comfortable and pleasant stay with a welcoming atmosphere. I would happily stay here again without hesitation."

"The Superior Suite was gorgeous, beautifully decorated, so new, fresh and squeaky clean. Keycode access to main door and rooms. Ample car parking available. Check in online. Super comfy beds, plenty of sockets, charging points too. A seated dressing table and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The kitchen area was ideal, just perfect for having a hot drink and use of microwave, great that there is cutlery and crockery available. Shower room, again really nice. Such a well thought out suite, lovely view over golf course. Host welcoming and reassuring via messages. Will definitely stay again."

"The staff were exceptional!! The food was exceptionally good, with a mix including Indian as well as UK, but all - dinner and breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is in the centre of the city of Brechin, quite close to the cathedral - well worth visit! Th oldest part dates from around 1000AD"
