"Very friendly staff; very welcoming at check in and were helpful when we asked to leave our cases/bags after check out. The room was clean (3rd floor) and had everything we needed. The bathroom was a tad dated but obviously due to the age of the hotel. We stayed mid week so no problems with noise etc. The hotel is ideally sited within 2 min walk from the station. Would definitely stay here again. "

Yes it's in a motorway service stop but Tebay shows how it can and should be done. "Fabulous room on the 2nd floor, clena, very comfortable, everything you would need from a pint of milk to crumpets and butter, a wonderful bed (slept so well) shower and bath with the lovely handwash, shower gel, shampoo etc., I can't wait to stay again, it's very handy for the town centre and the Penny Blue served us wonderful meals"

"When we arrived we discovered we’d been upgraded to the character room - it was spotless - the gent who checked us in was polite and helpful - bed comfy - room amenities were good and cooked breakfast was 5* - proper Cumberland sausage and great bacon and egg! "
