"It's a really nice place to stay in Skiathos, Asteri Studio's lie up the hill just outside Skiathos Town. It's easy to find as it's around 5mins drive from the port, property has a nice large front garden & plenty of seating to enjoy the warm evenings. Great view of the town from up here too, rooms are spacious and well equipped, had everything you need, there's a few bakeries close by if you need a snack, plenty of local shops at the bottom of the hill. Main town is 5 mins drive, there's a beach at the bottom of the hill and many more just a short drive away. Wi-Fi is included but you need to be close to reception to pick it up. I would recommend and stay there again."

"Gorgona Hotel was a great find just a little off the beaten path. It overlooks the Paralia Rousoum Gialos beach and is just a 2 minute hike down to that beach, and it is just a 10 minute walk to Port Town. My friends stayed in Old Town and it was a 10 Euro taxi ride there. It was great that it had a fridge and a little kitchenette since there aren't a lot of breakfast places that open early. I was able to make my own coffee and heat up leftovers each morning. The water pressure was strong and the AC worked great to cool down my room at night. The wifi was a little slow as is the case on many of the Greek islands. A highlight was the staff who were very kind and friendly, always greeting you with a big smile and asking if they can help in any way."

"Warm and friendly, welcoming staff, creating a mellow vibe that was immediately relaxing. Fantastic location right on the front with great harbour and bay views, from the outdoor dining area and room balconies. The simple, unfussy rooms had all we needed and contributed to the calm, with deeply comfortable king-size beds the star of the show. We slept so well! The biggest surprise was the rooftop pool and bar, giving stunning views and making a great escape. The biggest memory is the warmth of the team, who went out of their way to make our stay relaxing and memorable."

"I loved this hotel. Perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea. I enjoyed a delicious complimentary wine on my perfect balcony, the breakfast was very good, every breakfast food you could want. The pool was one of the nicer ones we’ve swam in while in Greece. The only downside we had, which is not the hotels fault, is that we struggled to find a taxi, so we walked the 20 min with all our luggage, mostly uphill. We ended up renting a quad at the port for the day, and used it to bring all of our stuff back to the port when we caught our ferry, so that was perfect and allowed us to see more of the island than we would’ve if we didn’t rent one. All in all, we had a wonderful stay"

"A well maintained room (regularly cleaned, fresh towels etc), with a lovely view from the balcony. I only saw staff on my arrival following a 30 minute wait ( no answer to my phone calls). While this wasn't really an issue during my stay, a higher visibility/availability might be needed at some point."

"The hotel and people are lovely. All was very good … breakfasts, pool area … and the rooms are modern and very well appointed. It’s a pretty easy downhill walk to the port, but occasionally one may choose to return after dinner by taxi, €7-8. The excursion to various beaches and to the Chora are very interesting."

"This home was so much more than a beautiful place to stay — it became a huge part of what made our time on Alonissos so unforgettable.Perched above the breathtaking Votsi bay, surrounded by green and overlooking turquoise-blue water and dramatic cliffs, the setting is almost impossible to put into words. The terrace was our absolute favorite place — morning coffee while watching the sunrise, a little dip in the pool, listening to the birds and the wind in the trees, and evenings simply sitting outside taking it all in.We honestly loved the house so much that some days we barely wanted to leave. You can walk down to the bay for a morning swim, and the location is perfect for exploring the island, but what made it truly special was that we never felt like we needed to go anywhere.This home somehow captures the feeling of Alonissos perfectly — the sea, the green landscape, the quiet, the breeze and the incredible sense of peace. It gave us a place to slow down, breathe again, reconnect with each other and with nature, and simply be present.One of the most special stays we’ve ever had and a place we will remember for a very long time. "
