"I spent a considerable amount of time trying to decide on a hotel for a family of 4. Took weeks to decide. This hotel was truly perfect. The location, size of the family suite, huge bathroom (for Europe). The canals on the side were loud for maybe one hour a night in total and then quiet the rest of the night. We used a sound machine and it was just fine. My only complaint is that when you have a family suite and you know there are 4 guests, leave 4 towels. We consistently were given 3 towels and then had to call down for the 4th. Which of course they brought no problems. Just a detail thing. We would stay again. Had the best time in Amsterdam even if it was during the heatwave."

"Absolutely excellent hotel in Amsterdam. About a 15 to 20 minute walk from Centraal train station, it’s located right along the water and immediately adjacent to the cruise passenger embarcation point. It’s a large hotel, great views, modern decor, spotlessly, clean, great linens, and the breakfast is absolutely outstanding. Very, very extensive buffet with high-quality food and drinks. Absolutely the perfect spot to stay if you’re coming in and out on the train and or leaving or arriving from a river or Ocean Cruise."

"Accommodation king bed was very good, rooftop lounge has an amazing city view. Reception staff checkin and check out, no problems. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and fresh. Concierge was very helpful, arranged flat rate taxi to my river cruise ship location.. When I return to Amsterdam, I will definitely stay at Hilton DoubleTree Central Station."
