Living in another part of Kazakhstan it is difficult to comprehend how they pull off even the basics that make this hotel great.

Good hotel. Big rooms. excellent breakfast and staff. beautiful swimming pool and sauna. the tv was old and small for the size of the room.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The workers were very helpful with answering any questions I had. Breakfast was great with many different options. Location was perfectly central to all the major Almaty touristy spots. One thing I want to address is there’s a club next to the hotel that plays music til 4am and you can hear it if you’re on that side of the building so request to be on the park side to avoid the sound. Overall, great hotel

Hi. That was a problem with the payment. My payment did not get when I arrived to the hotel, but despite this I was moved in the room.

I chose this hotel based on other reviewers' comments. The only thing that puzzled me about the comments were those about the "weird" bathroom setup. I found it quite neat! The room was spacious and immaculately kept. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff spoke English and were quite helpful. Great hotel! Spa is amazing!

I needed a hotel for 16 hours as I waited for a second flight from the airport. I know the Tien Shan from meetings we had held there when I lived in Almaty but I had never stayed there. The staff were extremely nice (and speak English). The hotel is a renovated one and I suspect at one time was Soviet-era with broad hallways and a nice lobby.
