"We enjoyed the pool area. As it was windy sitting in the tent was perfect. The room was spacious, nice shower and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was terrific with eggs, fruit, croissants, etc. "

"One of the best hotel stays we've ever had. Fabulous setting, glorious views, wonderful facilities, helpful staff. The works! Lots to see and do, but really the trick is it's OK to do nothing and just breathe. We're already planning a return trip. Honestly...look at the pictures and just go!"

Monte da Vilarinha

"We had an incredible time at Monte da Vilharinha. Driving into the property is like something out of a movie. The rural landscape boasts quintessential while buildings, herds of cows with bells, fields of flowers and streams. When we arrived we were greeted by Jafer and the property dog cookie. Jafer was the most incredible host guiding us around the property, letting us know where to take the (free) bikes and available to answer any questions via WhatsApp at any time. Breakfast is included in the mornings where the team will prepare you eggs and bacon or you can choose from a wide and fresh assortment of foods. We could not have asked for a more peaceful or beautiful stay just outside of carrapeteira. "

"The villa was spacious and the extra extension of the villa provided lots more room and light for the seven guests. However, upon arrival, the hot tub didn’t work, and we were not informed that it was broken so this was a shame. Furthermore, the hammock and umbrella had both broken, although the former not essential, the umbrella, especially for small children in direct heat, was needed. We were informed in the first few days that we would receive a replacement and never did, even though we still had ten days remaining. The pool was a good size and was cleaned twice by the pool cleaner, however, the space around the pool was disappointing as it only had two loungers for seven guests, and the sitting areas were surrounded by bushes which was sometimes uncomfortable terrain for a pool setting. There was also no privacy at the rear of the property, with no fencing or screen to cover guests in the pool, hot tub etc. Bedrooms, kitchen and lounge spaces were fine, although there weren’t enough glasses, plates and bowls for the amount of people the villa is supposed to accommodate. Nice location close to coffee shops, beach and lake. "
