"The hotel is located right in the center of Madrid and is easy to access to museums, restaurants and grocery stores. The hotel is very clean and front desk staff is friendly and helpful. air-conditioning works very well making visiting in hot summer day comfortable. The only thing I may complain is the lack of microwave in the room and lobby area."

I booked BYPILLOW Castellana because of its location and because it advertised air conditioning. With Madrid at 35°C, this was essential. At check-in, I specifically asked the receptionist to confirm the air conditioning was working and was assured everything was fine.
It wasn’t. The air conditioning did not work, the room was unbearably hot, and I endured one of the worst nights I ’ve ever had in a hotel.
The following morning I was then told the air conditioning was broken....
"Great location! It’s within walkable distance to major historic sites. Close to shops and restaurants. The rooms are located on the second floor and there is a small elevator.
Our room was well equipped with a small refrigerator, hair dryer, and a garment steamer. There was also an electric kettle, instant coffee, tea bags and complementary Biscoff cookies.
The beds were super confortable. The air conditioner was great too!"
