"The hotel is under heavy renovation/construction which causes a lot of noise and issues. One day the hot water was off from 10 am to 3 pm. To get from the rooms to the front desk you have to walk through a roped off path beside a large area where the workers are working, which will be the lobby. The staff gave us an upgrade to reduce the noise and accommodated early check in. The room was exceptionally beautiful with all of the modern features. "Staff was very attentive and polite. The resort sits right in the middle of Waikiki. Only down side was meals were less than filling. For the cost I feel that the food and portion size were small. Breakfast was very unsatisfying however the restaurant called Eggs & Things is only two doors down. Overall stay was 4.5 star"

"Stayed in Kona Tower. I didn't care that the view was a parking lot. I was in town for a surgery and needed to stay overnight (2 nights). What I wasn't expecting was the very loud street traffic, garbage trucks, delivery trucks etc. that could be heard all through the night. Room and hotel were worth the cheaper price but if your a light sleeper, you've been warned. Downstairs "general store/gift shop" was very nicely stocked as I'd had eye surgery and literally could not see to venture out to...
