"There is no Spa/lux feel to this hotel; as you walk in, the reception area is just in the way between the eating area and the bar. the staff are really lovely. The room smelled a bit of damp, the bathroom was so tiny you could barely turn round/get to the loo and it all needed a deep clean. Bed was comfy. There was no soundproofing I could hear the tv in the next room - it was like it was in my room. All old fashioned and not in a ‘faded glamour’ way. Needs a refurb. So disappointing for the wonderful cliff side location"
"Great hotel. Very modern and stylish,
Check in/out was easy and swift,
Room amazing and in excellent condition.
Staff all very professional and helpful.
Great plentiful breakfast with lots of variety.
The large balcony in the breakfast /sofa seating area is beautiful with views and very comfy.
For the price I paid, I was impressed and would happily stay again."
"The hotel was clean and the room itself was large, which I appreciated. However, the furniture was very limited — just one small chair and a desk, with only a tiny bedside shelf. The room really needs at least a proper case stand or luggage rack to make it more practical for guests.
I was also given one of the furthest rooms from reception despite the hotel clearly not being full, which felt unnecessary and inconvenient but often seems to be the case when booking through Expedia."
"The inn was okay and the staff were nice. Couldn’t sleep though which is the point of a hotel. Had a road facing room and could hear every single car as it sped by. Torture. The shower was also maybe the worst I’ve had in the last 5 years of constant travel. Felt like someone held a pinched hose over me and there was no water pressure at off peak shower times. "
"Check in poor & disorganised. Key hadn’t been coded properly so we couldn’t enter room. Booked a table for 8pm in restaurant & sat at the same table for afternoon drinks, we knew this as it had our name on the reservation & time of booking, I even took a photo & sent it to my daughter. Came into the bar & my husband pointed out that 4 people were sat at our table eating a meal & went on to look at menu again. I mentioned this to bar lady & she said they will be finished by 8pm, I said I think not as looking at dessert menu. I went across & very politely said we had the table booked from 8pm, are you aware, lady at table said no. I said no worries & returned to bar. I spoke to the man behind the bar, Alex, & he said he had other tables. I explained that we would like the table allocated to us earlier on that we had seen. The bar lady then started speaking & when I replied she said she was serving another customer when in fact she was not I pointed out that she was warming milk in a jug, she said yes for another customer having coffee at their table. I continued to speak Alex & she chipped in, when she had stated she was dealing with another customer, I said shut up. I realise I should not have done but she was being very disagreeable. Alex had asked her who had altered the table & she said it was her. Spoke to Alex & said I no longer felt like eating after this, he said no problem, turned & walked away. This is unacceptable in hospitality, rude & unprofessional."
