"A large and very well featured Ryokan (traditional inn) style hotel near the historic village of Shirakawa Go. Very helpful staff, I appreciated the bus from Shirakawa Go bus station to the hotel. Without your bags (or perhaps with), it’s walkable in about 25 minutes. Additionally if you request it, you can get the bus back at 08:30 which got me onto the onward early bus to Kanazawa at 08:50 which was much appreciated. The hotel has separated male/female onsen as well as two private onsen you...

"Amazing stay - couldn’t recommend more. The staff are incredibly attentive and helpful, the hotel is set in a beautiful location and the entire experience is flawless. The food is excellent as well, although it’s worth noting that both the dinner and breakfast are very generous meals - best not to eat too much beforehand! "Staff and service were amazing but my room was a little run down. Even though it was a non smoking room, it had a faint smell of stale cigarette smoke which was making me nauseous. However, they brought me complimentary sandalwood incense and with the windows open it got better. The sandalwood helped me sleep and I got the best rest of my trip so far. Overall a nice stay and historic but could use some updating!"
