"Nice, clean, comfortable and QUIET. Rooms more spacious than you find thee days, Beds were very comfortable! We could tell they were still in the process of updating the rooms. Some cement work started in the morning but not before 9 am, so it was okay with us. Looked like the work was done by 6 pm. One item to note was a slight incline/decline in the flooring on upstairs balcony, near the far stairway door, that should be marked."

"The room was clean and offered a great view of mirror lake! Luke at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, answering my endless questions about the hotel and area! Bar looked amazing, however didn’t get a chance to utilize it! Common areas were extremely clean and offered numerous places to relax! There’s a little wear and tear, but nothing that affected my stay! There is a limited amount of parking, but had no trouble finding a space even when I came in late!"

"Loved the lakefront view, the private parking and boats. The room could use some repairs, mostly what looks to be some pretty bad water damage/mildew in the bathroom. The entrance into the building has a carpet that's pulling up and causing a trip hazard. The staff was kind enough to provide us a corkscrew when we asked for one and we got a complimentary glad of champagne when we got there which was nice."

The Woods Inn

"There weren’t any filters for coffee in the room but there was coffee available early morning downstairs which was appreciated. We didn’t have any cups in the room either. It was chilly in the room and no way to warm it up. We ate at the restaurant and the waiter worked really hard to understand us which is appreciated. The food was good. There were little nats flying around our table which could be from doors being open. We are excited to return when the remodel is complete and are happy that the investors have elected to save the property."

"Friendly and attentive staff from front desk to housekeeping. Very clean room with beautiful view. Full use of all amenities offered by High Peaks. Walking distance to downtown shops & restaurants. Great stay!"
