Kybunga by the Beach, Beach cottage

Summary:

A single-storey 1940s cottage at the beach end of Kybunga Terrace, thirty seconds from the sand at Largs North. Three bedrooms sleep six, two bathrooms, a lounge with a fireplace, a sunroom, a full kitchen and a covered back deck with a barbecue and a lawn. Kept simple and original, with air conditioning, parking off the street and the Largs Bay jetty a five minute walk. Twenty five minutes to the city.



The Space:

THE LAYOUT



Everything is on one level. The lounge and sunroom are at the front, the three bedrooms run off the hallway, and the kitchen and dining open to the back deck and lawn. No stairs anywhere.



THE LIVING ROOMS



The lounge has a sofa and armchairs around a round timber coffee table, a TV, a split system and an original tiled fireplace as its centrepiece (decorative only, not for use), with the dining table for six at the far end by the French doors. Beside it the sunroom is glassed on two sides with cane chairs and velvet armchairs, the warm spot on a winter afternoon and the cool one on a summer evening with the doors open to the garden.



THE KITCHEN



A country kitchen with a gas stove and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and a dishwasher, and a timber kitchen table for four under the window for breakfast. The laundry is next to it with a washing machine, a second sink and a drying rack.



THE BEDROOMS



Bedroom 1 has a queen bed with timber bedheads, built-in robes and a split system. Bedroom 2 has two single beds and a wardrobe, a good room for kids. Bedroom 3 has a single bed with a trundle underneath, a reading chair and the garden outside the window. Two bathrooms: one with a walk-in shower and toilet, the other with a bath and shower combination and toilet, both original to the cottage.



OUTSIDE



French doors open from the dining to a covered timber deck with an outdoor table for six and a barbecue, and a flat lawn behind it for kids and dogs. Off-street parking at the front, and the beach is thirty seconds down the street.



BEFORE YOU BOOK



This is an original cottage kept in good order, not a renovation: timber windows, high ceilings, period bathrooms. Towels and linen are provided.

After your booking is confirmed you will receive a boarding pass link from Airbnb's partner ENSO Connect. A $550 security deposit is authorised and held by your card provider, not by us, or you can choose a $55 damage waiver instead. Travel cot and high chair available on request for a fee.



Guest Access:

The whole cottage, the deck, the lawn and the parking at the front. Self check-in by lockbox; the code comes with your boarding pass before arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Largs North is the quiet end of the Lefevre Peninsula. The beach is at the bottom of the street, wide and sandy, with the boardwalk running south to the Largs Bay jetty, the Pier Hotel and Queenies, and on to Semaphore Road with its cafes, pub meals, the Odeon cinema and the foreshore. The North Haven marina is to the north and Port Adelaide's wharves and markets are ten minutes by car.



Getting Around:

Transport yourself to seaside serenity with a quick 30-second walk to the beach. For those looking to explore beyond the shoreline, our cottage offers easy access to transport options. Several bus stops are conveniently located nearby, providing a hassle-free connection to the surrounding areas and attractions.



Additionally, a train station is within reach, offering a convenient ride into the heart of the city. Whether you're seeking coastal adventures or urban exploration, our perfectly located 3-bedroom cottage at Kybunga Terrace ensures that both the beach and city are easily accessible.
