"Wonderful! We were pleasantly surprised to find the welcome package with bottled water and bars. What a nice idea to take a break before unpacking. The notebook with restaurant suggestions was a tremendous help too."

"Nice house. Clean, nicely furnished, and well maintained. Problem with an electronic key system that did not work. Be aware of limitations in the summer: house was hot with only one room air conditioned."

"It’s name says it all. A perfectly sized, literal “bed room” in the middle of the woods. The fire pit had wood all ready for me to use. If you were to come in the winter, the tiny home has a wood stove to use as well."

"Such a beautiful place to stay! Super clean, super quiet, and easy to get to. Sienna was super communicative and kind. It’s hard not to fall in love with this cabin and want to stay forever, couldn’t recommend more!"

"We had a great stay at the Stagecoach. The cabin is fun to stay at. It is not far from Acadia National Park. There were a few restaurants nearby including Scovils Millside Dining which had good food at great prices. The cabin was very, very clean. The outside shower was very cool. There was a picnic table and fire pit. The host met us there and went over all of the amenities and how everything works. We loved it."

"An absolutely beautiful setting, the cabin is a perfect getaway if you’re looking for something more remote and away from the summer crowds of Bar Harbor. The host is very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to this area. We enjoyed the fire pit, the canoe, watching the various birds and wildlife, and getting local seafood from Winter Harbor and cooking in a few nights. "We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakeside cabin. The peaceful setting and gorgeous views made it such a relaxing getaway. We loved starting our mornings with coffee on the deck overlooking the water and spending time in the hammock by the lake.
The thoughtful touches made our stay feel especially welcoming. The fresh flowers in vases throughout the cabin were such a lovely touch, and the blueberry muffins waiting for us when we arrived were a wonderful surprise.
The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and a perfect place to slow down and enjoy the beauty of Maine. Our host, Ainsley, was very responsive and accommodating, and we truly appreciated her hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside retreat in beautiful Maine!"
Oceanfront Retreat on a Bay With Amazing Sunsets! Fishing off dock, sm dog fee
10/10 Excellent
"Amazing Place to stay. Very private. We felt like we had our own personal bay. Fishing from the dock was great, I caught 7 fish, bring gear for mackerel, shad, herring, and stripped bass. Also the star gazing was unreal. We have never seen so many stars, if you are a shutter bug, bring a tripod for some amazing nighttime star pictures. This place is about an hour and 15 minutes from Acadia so a little bit of a ride if your planning to go to the park a lot. We didn't mind the ride it was beautiful. Robertson lobster tour is about 15 minutes away and worth the trip. The cabin was very clean and stocked with all you would need in the kitchen. The TV's have internet so you can stream your favorite shows. They had a nice grill to use too. The deck overlooking the bay was very relaxing. That area of the bay is listed as a conditional harvest area for mussels and we checked and conditions were good so we got to harvest some mussels and enjoy them fresh. Bring clothes and shoes for wading if you want mussels. Use google maps to get there, apple and ford nav did not work as well. Altogether it was as close to perfect as we could have hoped for. We would return for sure!"
Lobster Cottage on the Harbor W/Lighthouse and Waterviews.
10/10 Excellent
"Exceptionally clean quaint cottage. We loved watching the boats and marine life from both the lower and upper deck. By the pictures and description I was under the impression that it was a little more secluded but it was still very quiet countryside. I would recommend this place to anyone. We really enjoyed all the amenities as well."
"
The breakfast was incredible, and the staff extremely helpful. The rooms were cozy and had everything One needed. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat

"The Machias River Inn being my first time being there, and living in the state of Maine it was 10/10. The cleanest room that you can tell was cleaned properly (I’ve stayed elsewhere in the state and can tell when housekeeping leaves behind trash visible in plain sight it wasn’t cleaned or swept). Helen’s restaurant has the best pie and it’s right on the property. The waterfront views were remarkable! We watched seals every morning. Also not to take away from guides but honestly if you go to any beach nearby you’re going to see Seals and puffins if you don’t want to pay the cost of a boat tour!"
