"We had a deluxe villa with own pool. It was just a shame due to staying later in the season, we did not get the sun on our loungers and the pool was very cold. (Still tried it though!!) Suite was lovely, Breakfast was good, lots of choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Resort is close to main road, which was a bit annoying if sitting out. Overall though, could not fault the resort.
However, walked along the nearest beach, and was very disappointed with the amount of rubbish and...
"This is a relatively new property with amazing sea views and a great breakfast spread. But that is the only positive. The housekeeping is below par. The front office is often manned by newly recruited staff who are clueless and do not have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage guests, Our room (upgraded 1st day room and subsequent room the next day) had a stream of red ants all over the room. The housekeeping staff had to be called in late at night (well past 10 o’clock) to clean the...
"Restaurant was the only let down esp. bar snack, very limited options. Breakfast buffet is great, but gets super busy. Great location and good property, though be careful of slipping hazard in the lobby due to rains.."

"Crete is full of hidden gems and The Eliros Mare is definitely one of them. We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at this hotel. We think it’s the perfect balance of not too small but not too big either. The service is wonderful and the staff genuinely care and do their very best. They are also very good at remembering your preferences such as where you like to sit.
We are never usually a fan of buffets for evening dinner but this one we visited many times as it was excellent. A huge range of...
