"Seems to be the only hotel choice in town, and it is fine. But nothing particularly nice at all. There's no decor on the walls; very little lighting in the room. The mattress was very hard and one of the two (twins pushed together) had springs that poked me at night. Terrace overlooking port was nice to have but view is partially covered by wooden slats, I guess for shade, there were two outdoor chairs one with cig burn holes. The hotel is in a perfect area. "Séjour parfait. Hôtel très bien situé. Charmante chambre, très propre. Déjeuner délicieux et variés. Personnel accueillant et disponible. Air climatisé fonctionne très bien. Prévoir un léger supplément pour entreposage de vélo et serviette de plage.

"Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Mare Hotel in Savona und haben uns von der ersten Minute an sehr willkommen gefühlt.
Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das ausgesprochen herzliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Wir sind mit drei Erwachsenen und zwei Kleinkindern unter drei Jahren angereist und wurden gerade auch im Umgang mit den Kindern sehr aufmerksam und herzlich behandelt. Man hatte nie das Gefühl, mit kleinen Kindern „zu viel“ zu sein – ganz im Gegenteil.

Hotel is quite old and although fairly well maintained is showing its age since last refurbishment.
We booked a room with sea view, which was correct but on the side of the hotel adjoining a part competed apartment block.
The facilities on site are all chargeable so take account of that when making the reservation."

"The hotel is located in a small quiet village, it is well run and well maintained. We only stayed one night but would have stayed longer if rooms had been available.
We arrived late and had a charcuterie board and wine on the terrace overlooking the Chruch across the street, it was just what we needed.
Breakfast was great, good selection to choose from and very good service.
The staff are legitimately friendly and helpful.
