"The staff was amazing. Parking is a bit complicated as the hotel is right in the town centre but the arrangements work well. Our room was in the old part and could have done with thorough cleaning and some updates. The stairs to the top were quite challenging for us, older people. The dinner and breakfast were wonderful."
"Over night stay, had to wait a while for reception as didnt realise I had to use the phone to get a reception member.
The room card had to be reset but the receptionist was very helpful.
Once in room it was very clean and spacious. No issues.
Bed very comfortable and warm.
I ate in the restaurant, wasnt many guests. Food was ok.
I finished and no staff around so I left to go to room.
I settled down in bed but then the phone rang and it was the restaurant saying I hadn't paid. I said to just add...
"Reception staff fairly friendly bar staff not so we waited over 10 mins for a member of staff no show so I went to reception we’re both the reception lady and the lady from the bar were just casually chatting and no apology for keeping us waiting"
"Lovely location in the middle of the beautiful Shropshire countryside, ideal for touring (which is what I was doing). Large pub with extensive menu and large garden. They even had a family fun event taking place in the glorious sunshine. Breakfast cooked to order - excellent.
Would stay again if I ever venture that way again."
"I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc.

"This hotel is absolutely 5 star the owners and staff are so friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are soo beautiful and comfortable such attention to detail. As a vegetarian I had the vegetarian breakfast it was soo tasty I had it two days in a row I can honestly say I have never had such a good breakfast at a hotel before. Again the same goes for the evening meals. I recommend this hotel 100%. Location is perfect for discovering Ludlow and surrounding villages."
