"It was SO hot when we were in the Netherlands, so our large, cool room with a nice big bathroom was just what we needed after driving up from Amsterdam! The staff were lovely and very helpful. "Though this isn't a 5-star luxury hotel, it was clear to us there are people behind Hotel Leonardo who really put the effort in with the hotel. First, the location is great, just across from the lovely main Leeuwarden train station and a moment away from the Love Fountain, with its ethereal beauty. "Great place to stay with a family. Very quiet and casual. Good breakfast, pool was great for kids. Bike rental on site. Stairs to the upstairs bedrooms were a little steep and one bedroom a little small, but everything worked out great."
