"Hotel manager is very kind and funny but hotel is ratjer rundown. Feels like a 3 star hotel that has seen its best years already. Rooms are dusty, breakfast tables not wiped, every step you will see sth broken. But that is a picture we whitness nowadays in most previously highly rated hotels. Due to Covid and lock down there was no money to maintain the hotels. The humidity in sri lanka quickly destroys materials so they need constant maintenance."
