"The bed was firm & comfortable, and the shower was good and hot. There was a good selection at breakfast - nice breads, well-cooked hot food, and a reasonable range of healthy options. Everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downsides were noise related: the bedroom windows could have done with another layer of glazing as there was quite a lot of activity going on outside at times overnight - luckily I had earplugs - and the music was really far too loud...

"We had booked two rooms at this hotel. The one we stayed in had a really overpowering sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which would be ‘covered up’ with a lot of air fresheners after house cleaning. I complained about it to staff and nothing was changed, with staff not mentioning it again. The other room was fine, and, besides the smell, both rooms were clean and very comfortable. "Great location Great staff friendly & helpful Breakfast great The room let are stay down For what we paid the room needs a revamp paint above tv looks awful damp coming through paint all lifting , ceiling light missing glass cover needs replacing, tv old remote not very responsive to use , bathroom bit tired plug for bath not attached handles on the bath are terrible all loose ,"
