"Overall an excellent location, staff and facilities. The grounds and gardens are large and very well kept. Only minor items to address are that it took some time for breakfast orders to be taken so had to wait a long time and result in toast and tea getting cold. Pool area could do with a little more lighting as it felt very dull."
"Our room was large and nicely decorated. However, our room had a strong damp smell I believe partly from the bathroom. I know that property was old but neither of the windows in the bathroom opened and their wooden plank sealing the fireplace looked a little damp and dusty."
"Staff were friendly and helpful. Lift was out of order for all of our stay which was not good as I have arthritis in both knees, left hip and right shoulder. There were a lot of stairs - this spoilt the holiday slightly for me"

"Just back from a lovely stay at the Black Bull Inn. Staff were friendly and welcoming it's in a lovely location for parking and amenities. We had the luxury of staying in room 14 which featured a four poster bed, the room was lovely and the breakfast was amazing thank you cant wait to visit again."

"I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem.
