"I have stayed at the Grand Chancellor every time I visit Hobart. It always meets expectations, wonderful friendly staff and great location. Rooms are kept impeccably clean and the restaurant serves a great menu of good quality options. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else."

"i booked a Queen room on 9th level facing the harbour - this has a small space
it's not a large room but adequate for solo travellers
it's not fancy and has basic facilities and style but adequate fir the space
I feel it would be cramped for a couple because there is only space for one bag
It has a hanging wardrobe space
The bathroom is small but adequate
Shower and toilet
Exceptionally clean and fresh which is a big plus and tipped this rating from 3.5 to 4 from me !!

"The hotel is perfectly located right in the city, surrounded by shops, short walk to salamanca markets, short walk to the harbour to catch the MONA ferry. The room was beautiful, buffet breakfast outstanding, and the staff were amazing! We found the check in person, and the young man running breakfast servicing particularly friendly and helpful! 10/10 stay, absolutely will be back!"

"Beautiful property. The room was spacious and had everything one needs, including extra blankets, fridge, microwave and cups, utensils , coffee and tea.
I loved the courtyard with the flowers. Liz, the manager, was very helpful with my travel plans in Tasmania. She took time to show me the maps, check travels times, answer my questions. Thank you, Liz. Great to have ample parking and laundry."
