"The indoor pool was nice but the outdoor pool was inoperable and wasn’t being worked on. The restaurant was nice and the food was good as well. The view from the room was nice but the windows were slightly dirty, the room was nice but the carpet was also slightly dirty. The bed was ok, it was more firm with noticeable springs every so often. Fair all things considered, it was an older building and was in need of some upkeep. I’d rate it 3 stars, just not somewhere I’d like to stay a second time."

"This hotel looks very nice when you first arrive. But a closer look shows big issues. The air conditioner was not working in the main lobby so there were large fans everywhere. The hotel had no towels. None at the pool and no towels in the room. We requested them and they brought us hand towels, so we had to dry off with them. The room looks nice at first, but another closer look showed that it wasn’t too clean (a wet spot on the floor wiped it up and the towel was dirty brown) and the bathroom...

"Stayed at the Strathallen for one night, as I had a high school reunion just a couple blocks away. Just a great property in a perfect location to be near a lot of Rochester attractions. The room was amazing, very large and in excellent condition. Perfect amenities, and a beautiful balcony overlooking part of the neighborhood. The restaurant and bar on the ground level were wonderful, with impeccable service. Highly recommended!"

"Kitchen needs serious cleaning and attention. Cabinets were filthy and had garbage in them. Dishwasher was horrid and could not be used due to stagnant smelly water still in it. Beds were very hard. Price was great and host was attentive. "
