"The property is in a lovely setting and as the sun was shining we enjoyed an evening glass of wine on the patio looking over the gardens and tipi. The restaurant, public areas and the bedrooms were all pristine and food of a great standard, when in the area we would definitely stay again."
"A beautiful hotel with very generous sized, clean, cosy rooms; well stocked with tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. Unfortunately though, our mattress and pillows were quite hard making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. An excellent breakfast with a very good choice of cooked food, fresh fruit, pastries and cereals etc. It would be even better if you could have a latte instead of the filter coffee but that is only a small thing."

"I would avoid the skylight rooms . No secondary escape access in the event of a fire is a concern I voiced with reception and was consistently rebuffed with there is an escape plan on back of the room door . Also there was a smell of drains that seems to coincide with incline tides ! . Maybe a coincidence ."
"We had a very comfortable stay at the wheatsheaf in Swindon, staff were friendly and welcoming, a bar that was open for drinks and places to sit and relax. Our room was comfortable although window wouldn’t stay open to let in fresh air as it was a warm day outside. Our even meal was delicious with a good choice of menu. Breakfast was also good and the service was swift. a great start to our day. All in all an enjoyable stay would revisit this hotel again in the future."
"Sehr aufmerksames Personal. Gute und moderne Ausstattung, was von außen auf den ersten Blick von uns nicht vermutet wurde. Ausstattung ist sehr gut, sogar ein Kühlschrank befindet sich auf dem Zimmer. Sowohl das Abendessen als auch das Frühstück waren sehr gut! Insgesamt die beste Unterkunft auf unserer Rundreise!"
"I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem.

"Lovely room however the large radiators were belting out high heat all the time and they could not be turned off in your room, the temperature was like a sauna. A fan was provided but hardly took the edge off the sweltering temperature. The windows could not be unlocked so no air in the room. Such a shame or it would have been perfect."
