"Stayed here for 2 nights on the hottest weekend of the year in room 320. Air conditioning wasn't working we were sweltering in the small room with twin beds that were of differing heights. I spoke to reception about the air con and how hot it was in the room, they gave us desktop fans and told us there wasn't really anything else they could do as there were quite a few rooms with the same issue!! Had we known this we would have booked a different hotel. The member of staff told us they would...

"Decor is tired, carpets have holes, room is dated, very hot, can’t turn off towel rails,room not cleaned, dirty glasses, old rubbish in draws. Bar is expensive restaurant is basic food, dirty dog eared old menus…."

"Hotel was in a great location, being close to the town centre and the sea front and the seaview was very nice. Breakfast was good and the staff were good throughout. The room had a huge en-suite bathroom which was finished to a very high standard and was very nice. The bedroom was ok but not to the same high standard as the bathroom and view of the sea was somewhat spoilt by the view of a poor condition balcony. "The attic rooms, which are expensive, are not fit for purpose in hot weather. No air-con, of course, but you can barely open the windows. The sun blasts on to the roof just above and creates an oven! The provided fan was little help. Very bad night's sleep. The unhelpful receptionist told me that the hot room was due to the heat. I asked if we could swap rooms, but he said the hotel was fully booked, despite a portable sign outside saying 'Rooms available tonight'. Breakfast was very poor....

"Perfect venue for relaxing in West Sussex. Golf course and great practice facilities on site. Amazing brand new gym, good spa. Good restaurant and breakfast. Staff incredibly good."

"Rooms in need of refurbishment bathrooms had mould on ceiling and grout, and toilet stained. Big quiet room and bed and pillows quiet firm. Staff friendly and attentive. Food average. Bar very dated."
