"We arrived at the hotel late and upon arrival had a sign saying under renovations.
No pool/spa/gym/food.
Room was ok. However interconnecting door unlocked which puzzled the staff as to why we would want to lock it.
2nd night bar then closed and had to request more milk pots as no laundry service/restock had taken place.
Overall disappointed with the stay and feel it should be closed during renovations. The resort could be amazing but needs a lot of repairs.
For what was a basic room...
"We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at High Cove! The location is fantastic—it is wonderfully quiet, family-friendly, and offers easy access to the North Cornwall countryside while serving as a great base to explore the rest of Cornwall.
The only minor downside for us was finding the exact holiday home within the park, as the instructions weren't quite clear. Since it was our first time there, it would have been really helpful to have clearer identification or a small map pointing to the exact...
"Lovely room. Nice pub. Food good. EV charger was a definite benefit as well as coffee machine. Make sure you ask how to work the bedside lamps if not told!!"
"Overall the stay was great. Perfect location for the drive to many close beaches. The lodge was clean and comfortable perfect for a short break. The only thing we would recommend is the number of the lodge and campsite name be added to the booking information as we found it difficult to locate. Other than that thank you for a pleasant stay."

ernet. It was appalling . It is advertised as internet being available but we were faced with a letter as soon as we arrived stating we would have to purchase it.
Even though one of us purchased it it was very poor and she couldn't access it. Data was also very poor. So we couldn't use the wifi or data as poor connections...
"The setting in such a quiet rural location but only minutes from Wadebridge and the cottage suited us perfectly for our purpose for being in the area.
We had some queries about the property before arrival and found Sykes support lacking but the house keeper for the cottage was really helpful and was able to help us on 2 occasions with instant replies. What a difference a real person makes!

The only thing I would mention is to inform people that on arrival you have a key to turn the alarm off"
"Patio and patio fence are badly unkempt (with overgrown weeds and loose timber). Half the oven didn't work, either. Sykes Cottages were appalling at dealing with the issues when raised - could have been quickly sorted by efficient maintenance. A shame, as it's a great holiday house."
"Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and almost felt new. We were grateful for the air conditioning! Food in restaurant was excellent. We would definitely stay there again."
