"It was a scenic walk from the lake to the property, we enjoyed it although it was drizzling. The room was nice and comfortable to accommodate 5 of us. We didn’t realize that there was no attached shower room when we booked so was a little shocked when we realized that upon check-in. If you intend to go to the onsen (which you should really go - there are 2 private ones and a big public one), then there’s no big issue with that. "The property is set in a perfect location of Yufuin, only a few minutes walk to the main streets/ Yufuin Floral village. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, and the property is charming and traditional. The private onsen was a nice touch! The only downside to the hotel is that it’s a little dated and the walls are paper thin. I would recommend ear plugs if a light sleeper! Also, we did not realise that everything in Yufuin closes at 5pm - only 3 restaurants were open in the whole town...
